2015 race postponement
Dear all participants/sponsors/friends,
I deeply regret that the Main Organisors decided to postpone the 9th Annapurna 100K/50K Race due to the reasons stated
below in the interest of the safety and security of all participants coming from abroad and prevention of problematic situation
and inconvenience this sad decision had to be taken and the new date will be:
10 October 2015 – Sat -RACE DAY
11 October 2015 – Sun -Main Prizes Distribution

9TH ANNAPURNA 100K RACE
Dear All Participants/Friends,
Greetings from Pokhara. Many thanks for your interest in the participation.
I am very sorry that the Main Organising Committee made a decision to postpone
the 9th Annapurna Race to 10th October due to the following political problems in
Nepal:
1. The Opposition Party-Maoists together with 30 small parties have decided
in the month of February until 1st week March toorganise street protests and surround
the Parliament.
2. As the Members of Parliament failed to draft and promulgate the New Nepalese
Constitution by 22 Jan, the ruling parties recommended for majority vote to decide
on the 3 major issues, but the opposing parties opposed. This caused damage by them
inside the Parliament by breaking chairs and microphones and they wanted to thrash the
Speaker of the Parliament.
3. The Opposition Maoists Party and 30 other parties have boycotted the Parliament
for 1 month and want to have street protests.

4. The Civil Police and Armed Police have began patrolling in the majaor towns and
cities with the Nepalese Army on red alert standby.

5. In the interest of the participants safety and, security the Organisors decided to
postpone the Race to 10th October Saturday.
