Transport to the race start
For runners staying in Pokhara the race organisation provides jeeps from Pokhara to the start line in Lumre. These will leave from outside the Busy Bee Cafe (google map link) at 5.30am on Friday morning. Please arrive at least 10 minutes early and be on time. If you miss the jeep you will miss your race! Please be aware that roads in Nepal aren’t what you are used to. It is only a short distance but the jeep journey will take 1.5 to 2 hours and it will be rough! There will be toilet stops on the way.
Race start ~8am
Lumre is a small village with simple facilities. There will be a very simple breakfast available with tea, coffee, bananas, biscuits and porridge. You can deposit a bag to be taken to the finish line in Dhampus. Please make sure you use the baggage tag provided in your race envelope. You must have your timing chip scanned as you enter the start area. The area will be open from 20 minutes before the start, once you are inside you cannot leave! There will be a very short briefing before you start.
Good luck!
