Our medics will be stationed at CP4 High Camp, CP5 Forest Camp, Dhampus (Finish 42/55 km), CP9 Panchase, Pokhara (Finish 100 km)
Dr. Suman Acharya (MBBS, DiMM)
Dr. Suman Acharya (MBBS, DiMM) graduated from his medical school in 2017 and has been working as a medical officer in Tokha Hospital, Kathmandu. He did his Diploma in Mountain Medicine (DiMM) in 2017 and he worked as a trail race doctor for the Mustang trail race in 2018 and 2019. He volunteered and led the medical team for the Gosainkunda health camp in 2018 organized at the altitude of 4380m for a week. He has a keen interest in high altitude medicine and has trekked regularly around Nepal. He will be leading the medical team for the Annapurna trail race this year.
Dr. Anjan Bhattarai
Dr. Anjan Bhattarai has been working as a medical officer in Ratnanagar Hospital, Chitwan after he graduated from the Institute of Medicine, Kathmandu in 2017. He developed his interest in high altitude during his medical school and volunteered as a medical doctor in IPPG rescue post at Machhermo (4470m) of Gokyo valley in 2017 for the duration of 3 weeks. He also worked as a volunteer doctor for Gosainkunda health camp (4380m) in 2018.
Dr. Badri Aryal
Dr. Badri Aryal is currently working as a medical officer in a primary care hospital near Pokhara. He is a well-trained doctor in emergency care including BLS (Basic Life Support) and ACLS (Advanced Cardiac Life Support). An executive member of Mountain Medicine Society of Nepal (MMSN), he has been involved in educating medical students and the general public about altitude illness and other ailments of emergency medicine. He was a part of medical team in gosaikunda health camp 2018 at the altitude of 4380m.
Dr. Suraj Shrestha
Dr. Suraj Shrestha is a graduate of Maharajgunj Medical Campus, Institute of Medicine. He has worked as a volunteer doctor in High altitude camp at Gosainkunda in 2019 and 2016. He has worked as high altitude trainer to trekking guides of Nepal. He is currently working as project coordinator of Mountain View project which mainly focuses on high altitude prevention and awareness program. He worked as a race doctor for the “Stupa to Stupa race” in 2019.Annapurna 100 medical team
